    The invention discloses a new synthesizing method of 3-methyl-7, 8-dihydroxy isochroman ketone-4, which comprises the following steps: adopting 2, 3-dimethoxy benzene carbonic acid as raw material; etherifying; obtaining 2-methyl-3, 4-dimethoxy ethyl benzoate to bromodize to produce 2--(bromomethyl)-3, 4-dimethoxy benzene carbonic carbethoxy; etherifying with ethyl lactate to produce 2-((1-ethoxy -1-oxo-propane-2)-oxymethyl-3, 4-dioxymethyl-ethyl benzoate; proceeding dieckmann condensing reaction to obtain 3-methyl-7, 8-dimethoxy isochroman ketone-4; or hydrolyzing the 2-((1-ethoxy-1-oxo-propane-2)-oxymethyl-3, 4-dioxymethyl-ethyl benzoate to produce 2-((1-carboxyl ethoxy) methyl)-3, 4-dioxymethyl-benzene carbonic acid; condensing through intramolecular perkin to obtain the 3-methyl-7, 8-dimethoxy isochroman ketone-4; demethylating to obtain 3-methyl-7, 8-dihydroxy isochroman ketone-4.
