There is provided a system for supplying pulsed fluids to pressure vessels (54) which comprises: at least one reservoir (10, 12) for the fluid to be pulsed; valved conduits (14, 16, 20) connecting the reservoir (10, 12) to at least one pump (24); a conduit (26) with control valves (28) from the pump (24) to one or more ballast tanks (36, 38, 40) with the control valves (28) able to sequentially or intermittantly direct a flow of fluid into each of the ballast tanks (36, 38, 40); conduits (42, 44, 46) from each of the ballast tanks (36, 38, 40) to a control valve (48) and injection valve (50) which injects fluid from the conduits (42, 44, 46) from each of the ballast tanks (36, 38, 40) into a high pressure processing vessel (54) where the materials to be contacted with the pulsed fluid are contacted with the fluid. For recycling the processing fluid, a conduit (60, 64) from the high pressure processing vessel (54) can be connected to a separator vessel (66), secondary processing vessel or storage vessel. |
