    This invention relates to a buckle assembly (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) suitable for headgear such as swimming goggles of a type provided in combination with an elastic strap (115, 215, 215', 315, 415, 415', 515) having a set of equally spaced teeth, projections, transverse ridges (115a, 215a, 215a', 315a, 415a, 415a', 515a) or the like, arranged along the strap at least on the end portions of the strap, which enables easy adjustment of the length of the elastic strap. This invention also relates to a swimming goggle having such a buckle assembly.
